In development

What we're still building and testing

A reliable refill system for energy gel doesn't exist yet. That's why we're developing it together with endurance athletes, in short cycles of building and testing.

Recipes in testing

Formulation

A concentrate with a fixed glucose-fructose ratio of 1 : 0.8 and extra sodium.

Prototype

Dosing and flask system

Accurate dosing per serving, and a flask that is dishwasher-safe and hygienically reusable.

Which materials score best on food safety and recyclability? The Drink Mix comes in a tub made from a single type of plastic.

Become a test pilot and help build Reduro.

We're looking for endurance athletes who test prototypes in training and tell us honestly what needs to improve: taste, dosing, stomach and hygiene.

Frequently asked questions

When can I buy Reduro?

We're aiming for a first, limited pilot batch in the first quarter of 2027. The pre-order is open for Belgium and the Netherlands. Those on the list hear first.

What is Reduro?

Reduro is a Belgian brand of refillable sports nutrition for endurance athletes. Instead of single-use gels, you fill a reusable flask with energy gel from a refill bottle, and fill your bidon with Drink Mix. One 500 ml refill bottle holds 330 g of carbohydrates, a full 150 ml flask 100 g.

Do I have to pay anything now?

No. A reservation is free of obligation. We only ask you to order once the batch is ready, and then you decide again.

How many carbohydrates are in a flask?

A full 150 ml flask holds 100 g of carbohydrates (0.67 g per ml), with glucose and fructose in a 1 : 0.8 ratio and extra sodium. One 500 ml refill bottle contains the same energy gel: 330 g, enough to fill your flask more than three times.

How much more economical is refilling than single-use gels?

Up to 50% more economical. For 100 g of carbohydrates you pay about €5.14 from a €16.95 refill bottle, compared to about €10 for classic 25 g gels at €2.50.

What flavour is the energy gel?

We're starting with one flavour: citrus. At first we considered a flavourless energy gel, but our survey of endurance athletes showed that wasn't a good idea. Other flavours may follow; test pilots get a say.

Is a reusable flask hygienic?

The flask is designed to go in the dishwasher. We're testing that over dozens of wash cycles before launch.

How many carbohydrates do you need during exercise?

During long efforts many endurance athletes aim for 60 to 90 g of carbohydrates per hour, depending on duration, intensity and what your stomach is used to. A full Reduro flask holds 100 g of carbohydrates. Build up your intake gradually in training.

Which sports is Reduro suitable for?

For endurance sports where you need carbohydrates on the go: road cycling, gravel and mountain biking, running and marathon, triathlon, and trail or ultra.

Pay nothing now

You reserve without obligation. You only order once the pilot batch is ready.
